restrictive trade practices

(U.S. EAR) These are practices, as listed in 15 CFR 760.2, required or resulting from a foreign country's boycott or sanctions against another country. The essence of a "restrictive trade practice" or "boycott" is the prohibition or limitation by one or more nations of allowing its citizens and others to conduct business with the target country(s), organization(s) or individuals. See also anti-boycott provisions and the BIS Office of Anti-Boycott Compliance.
