- [H6u] Dangerous Goods General
and Security Awareness (short version)
![[Enroll now]](enroll.gif)
Intended as brief introductory training for anyone working in
cargo transportation and related intermediary services. Addresses
hazard classification, communication and documentation requirements,
and security concerns with emphasis on recognizing "hidden"
(undeclared) dangerous goods. Not sufficient for "hazmat employee"
certification.
- [H5u] Dangerous Goods General
and Security Awareness (U.S.)
![[Enroll now]](enroll.gif)
Provides general awareness and security awareness training in dangerous
goods transportation requirements. Intended as an introductory training
for anyone working in cargo transportation and related intermediary
services. Introduces hazard classification, communication and
documentation requirements, with emphasis on recognizing "hidden"
(undeclared) dangerous goods. Though more complete with respect to
general awareness and security than above "short version" of this
course, this does not include function specific, general safety nor
security plan training, and so is not sufficient by itself for "hazmat
employee" certification.
- [H1u] Introduction to Dangerous
Goods Shipping (U.S.)
![[Enroll now]](enroll.gif)
Provides basic training in dangerous goods—general awareness, security
awareness and general safety. Intended as introductory training for
anyone working in a facility with potential exposure to Hazmat, and for
all transportation intermediary personnel to recognize shipments which
may contain Hazmat and understand the basics of hazard communication
and documentation. Not recommended as certification training except for
cargo handlers.
- [H2u] Dangerous Goods Essentials
for U.S. Transportation Intermediaries
![[Enroll now]](enroll.gif)
Provides general awareness, security awareness, limited general safety,
and function-specific training for all transportation intermediaries,
all modes of transportation. Suitable for certification training of
customs brokers and those who re-forward Hazmat in the same packaging
as previously transported in commerce, such as customs brokers or staff
working in distribution centers. Covers everything except specifics of
employer security plan when there is one. Forwarders arranging initial
shipment of Hazmat should have more in-depth certification training,
such as courses H3u or H4u below.
- [H3u] Hazmat Employee
Course—Ocean Cargo Transportation Intermediary
![[Enroll now]](enroll.gif)

U.S. Air Forwarders)

IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and U.S. DOT rules, and air forwarder

as "add-on" training in air cargo for those certified for ocean cargo
Hazmat, and may be used as refresher certification training for those
regularly working with air cargo Hazmat.
- [H11u] Dangerous Goods Shipping
Under the IMDG Code (for U.S. Ocean Forwarders)
![[Enroll now]](enroll.gif)
Provides general awareness training and practical application using the

Shipping for Transportation Intermediaries
![[Enroll now]](enroll.gif)
This is supplemental training in air shipment
requirements for radioactive materials designed for shippers and
freight forwarders who may be or will be handling radioactive
shipments, particularly Category II and III. This course assumes the
learner has already completed all other "hazmat employee"
certification training required under U.S. DOT requirements. For
training via GISTnet, course H4u or a combination of H2u or H3u + H10u,
should be considered as prerequisite to this course.
