U.S. Air Cargo Security Training for IACs and Their Authorized Representatives (Truckers and Others)

Because of SSI "need-to-know" criteria and training efficiency, GISTnet offers multiple IAC air cargo security training courses, each course covering all TSA-specified training topics required for the indicated job assignment(s). Fee for annual refresher training is automatically discounted 50% (half the fee shown below) provided the person assigned completed previous equivalent training with GISTnet. GISTnet training can be easily customized to include company-specific policy and procedures—please call for more information.

Training for IAC Direct Employees

(AS-1) IAC Security Training—Full Charge Customer Service, Documentation and Supervisory Staff (C5-2010)
This is for IAC managers, supervisors, lead customer service and documentation agents, and clerical personnel who work without immediate supervision of a higher-trained person. It addresses in detail security requirements in all operational situations, including screened cargo chain-of-custody requirements.
(AS-2) IAC Security Training—Customer Service and Documentation Staff under Continuous Supervision (C5-2010)
This is for IAC customer service and documentation agents working under continuous supervision of a higher-trained person. It addresses security requirements in most operational situations, with awareness-level coverage of screened cargo chain-of-custody requirements.
(AS-3) IAC Security Training—Air Cargo Terminal and Warehouse Personnel (C5-2010)
This is for personnel who physically accept, tender, store and containerize air cargo, including screened cargo, who work under supervision of a higher-trained person.
(AS-3-S Spanish) IAC Warehouse—Entrenamiento de Seguridad de Terminal de Carga de la IAC (C5-2010)
(AS-4) IAC Security Training—Employees with Access to Air Cargo but No Air Cargo Operational Responsibilities (C5-2010)
This is for personnel who have unescorted access to outbound air cargo (e.g., other department staff, janitorial and security personnel), but perform no air cargo operational tasks.

(AS-5) IAC Security Training—IAC Security Coordinators and Alternates (C5-2010)
This includes everything in the Full Charge employee training, plus additional IACSC responsibilities and concerns. See also IACSC add-on module for people who have separately completed the Full Charge training.
(AS-6) IAC Security Training—IAC Security Coordinator Add-on Training Module (C5-2010)
This is for people who have separately completed the Full Charge training course and have been advanced to IACSC or alternate IACSC positions.

Training for Air Cargo Truckers, Dispatchers and IAC Station Agents ("Authorized Representatives")

(AS-7) IAC Security Training—Truck Drivers, Dispatchers & their supervisors (C5-2010)
This is for truck drivers and dispatchers (direct employees and ARs), and AR station agent personnel, and covers air cargo security measures for cargo acceptance (pick-up), ground transportation, storage and delivery (tendering) of outbound air cargo, including screened cargo chain-of-custody requirements.

Administrative Requirements

Before we can provide training to an authorized representative, we must receive authorization from an IAC. If you are registered in the GISTnet system as an IAC or training administrator, please use our automated authorization form. Otherwise, please copy IAC Authorization for GISTnet to Train Its Authorized Representatives language onto your letterhead and fax it back to us at +1.310.376.8049 or send as an attached image to iacstaff@gistnet.com.

Important: These courses are available for use by U.S. Indirect Air Carrier (air forwarder) direct employees, agents and sub-contractors ("authorized representatives") for which we have IACSSP confirmation. The syllabus for each course is available only to IAC representatives; you may request a copy from iacstaff@gistnet.com or by phone at +1.310.376.3888.

Our courses cover all the subject matter in the TSA-issued PowerPoint training presentations and assessments, and as specified in the IACSSP, plus additional graphics and expanded coverage of important topics to make the training more operationally oriented, responsive to real world issues and valuable to employers. We have also added assessment questions and practical exercises to reinforce key points, inclusive of instructive feedback, to help learners prepare to pass their assessment for record. Training is updated as needed to reflect changes in TSA requirements.

Training and assessment are completed entirely on-line using a web browser. Some courses include audio narration which can be used by learners who prefer listening over reading.

As an employer, our hosted training management platform, GISTware, provides you with company-wide visibility of training status, detailed training and assessment records including special reports for TSA station audit, paper training completion certificates, and exceptionally easy administration of annual refresher training. You can also use this system to centrally manage all types of training, regardless of delivery method or provider. Our courses can also be deployed via any AICC-compliant learning management system (LMS).

All GISTnet training courses are subject to significant volume purchase discounts (see Volume Discount), and refresher training is automatically discounted at 50% of the normal course fee for people who have completed a previous equivalent GISTnet course.
