IAC Security Training for IAC Direct Employees

Because of SSI "need-to-know" criteria, and training efficiency, GISTnet offers multiple IAC air cargo security training courses. Fee for annual refresher training is automatically discounted 50% (person must have completed previous equivalent training with GISTnet). Spanish version courses are shown directly below English equivalents.

• IAC Security Training for Customer Service, Documentation and Supervisory Staff (2009)
  Course fee $35 ($25 subscriber). Estimated completion time: 3+ hours for employees without any prior knowledge of IAC security procedures; 2 hours for refresher use.
• IAC Security Training for Air Cargo Terminal and Warehouse Employees (2009)
  Course fee $30 ($20 subscriber). Estimated completion time: 2-3 hours for employees without any prior knowledge of IAC security procedures; 1-2 hours for refresher use.

• IAC Security Training, IAC Security Coordinators and Alternates (2009)
  Course fee $50 ($35 subscriber). Estimated completion time: 4-6 hours for a person without any prior knowledge of IAC security procedures; 2+ hours for refresher use.
• IAC Security Training, IAC Security Coordinator Add-On Training Module (2009)
  Course fee $15 ($10 subscriber). Estimated completion time: 1.5 hours; 1 hour for refresher use. This is not stand-alone training. It is "step-up" training for a person who has already completed GISTnet course IAC Security Training for Customer Service, Documentation and Supervisory Staff.
• NEW IAC-CCSF Screened Cargo Chain-of-Custody Training (add-on to other IAC training) (2010)
  Course fee $30 ($24 subscriber). Estimated completion time: 7 hours. This course is inclusive of screened cargo handling.
• NEW IAC-CCSF Entrenamiento Adicional de Cadena de Custodia de Carga Escrutada (2010)

IAC Security Training for Truckers and IAC "Authorized Representatives"

• IAC Security Training for Truckers and Other Authorized Representatives (2009)

Requirements

Before we can provide training to an authorized representative, we must receive authorization from an IAC. If you are registered in the GISTnet system as an IAC or training administrator, please use our automated authorization form. Otherwise, please copy IAC Authorization for GISTnet to Train Its Authorized Representatives language onto your letterhead and fax it back to us at +1.310.376.8049.

Important: These courses are available for use by Indirect Air Carrier (air forwarder) direct employees, agents and sub-contractors ("authorized representatives") in the U.S. for which we have IACSSP confirmation. The syllabus for each course is available only to IAC representatives; you may request a copy from iacstaff@gistnet.com or 310-376-3888.

Our courses cover the subject matter in the TSA issued PowerPoint training presentations and assessments, plus additional graphics and expanded coverage of important topics to make the training more operationally oriented, responsive to real world issues and valuable to employers. We have also added assessment questions and practical exercises to reinforce key points, and provide practice assessment with instructive feedback to help learners prepare to pass their assessment for record. Training is updated as needed to reflect changes in TSA requirements.

Training and assessment are completed entirely on-line using a web browser. Some courses require an Adobe Flash Player (a free browser plug-in), and include audio narration which can be used by learners who prefer listening to reading.

GISTnet on-line training is convenient (available anytime-anywhere), low cost, and typically results in more learning and greater retention in less time than classroom instruction because learners must pay closer attention and frequently respond to questions and exercises. Employees proceed at their own pace as needed to master the material. With prior understanding of required security procedures, as is the case with refresher training, an employee will typically complete the training in about half the time needed when seeing the material for the first time.

As an employer, our hosted training management platform, GISTware, provides you with company-wide visibility of training status, detailed training and assessment records including special reports for TSA station audit, paper training completion certificates, and exceptionally easy administration of annual refresher training. You can also use this system to centrally manage all types of training, regardless of delivery method or provider.

Our training courses are subject to significant volume purchase discounts (see Volume discount), and refresher training is automatically discounted at 50% of the normal course fee for people who have completed a previous equivalent GISTnet course.
